How to know if he cares
A man will show you that he cares by consistently going out of his way for you. Be careful because in the honeymoon phase a man is on his very best behavior. He is wanting to sweep you off your feet and get romantic and intimate with you. This is the time where he probably will call you regularly, text you, buy you flowers and follow through on plans.
In the long run however, is what counts. If he is consistently willing to go out of his way for you this speaks volumes. This means that he would help you out if you had a car problem, be willing to give you a hand with something heavy, or be there for you at a family event. If he cares about you he will bring you around the people that he knows.
How he behaves verses what he says
Talk is very cheap with men. This is particularly true at the outset of a relationship. Men are trained to tell you what you want to hear in order to get what they want. An astute man will hone in on what it is you desire and try to give that to you in the beginning of a romantic relationship. He will say what he thinks you want to hear.
Once the honeymoon phase is over, you get to see the real person. If he really cares you will see this in his behavior not just in what he says. A man who cares will be interested in your life and not just the physical aspects of your relationship. He will get in touch with you just to say hello and he won’t disappear off the map for long periods of time. He will want to know what is going on in your life. If he really cares he will treasure you feelings. If something upsets you he will not retreat for long. He will be interested in what makes you tick and will want to talk about any issues in the relationship.
Pay closer attention to how he acts
How a man acts is much more indicative of a man’s feelings than what he says. For example he can say he loves you all he wants to, but if these words are not backup up by actions then he does not love you. Love means that he is willing to do some things for you which have no agenda for him. He gets nothing out of it other than seeing you happy. That’s why a man who is willing to help you out and do you a favor in a pinch reigns supreme. This is the man that doesn’t just say he loves you, he acts like he loves you.
